The Year Without a Santa Claus

The Year Without a Santa Claus

This is my all-time favorite one of those cheesy stop-motion Christmas stories that were made for kids beginning with The Little Drummer Boy in 1968, and into the 1970s. The Year Without A Santa Claus first aired in 1974. It tells the story of a year in which Santa is feeling a bit under the weather, both mentally and physically, and gets the notion that people no longer believe in him. Because of this, Santa decides to take the year off! Mrs. Claus and the rest of the gang snap into action in order to restore Santa's belief in humanity, and therefore restore Christmas. Watch the entire 1974 TV special in its entirety below!

Anamorphic Madness

Optical illusionist (and cat lover) Brusspup released an awesome new video this week showing some anamorphic projections that look like actual objects on a desk. He has made all three available for download so you can try it yourself (Rubik's cube, tape, shoe). Sharing is caring.
