At the height of his boxing career, the Northern Irish man they called “The Derry Destroyer” stunned his legions of fans when he stepped out of the ring and onto a stage. I had a chat with retired professional boxer John Duddy about what propelled him into a life of fighting and the fresh dream that drove him to leave it all behind.
